55 Months

This is from our trip to the Seattle Zoo.  I'm not sure how often I'll be updating here but since I had a moment I figured why not add a picture or two.  Those of you who follow me and are also FB friends will have seen this already.  Sorry about that!  So here is one more:

20 months old already. crazy how time flies when your raising children. wouldn`t trade it for anything. nothing is more rewarding. love the ones you love!

A snow day to remember!!

One Year Birthday Party

Wow, time just flew by this summer. Way too busy with work which means I spent much less time with the girls than I would have liked. Things are easing off now and I might have a holiday this year yet. Here are a few pics over the past couple of months:

6 months later...

7:30am

7:30am is the worst part of my entire day... excluding weekends. This is the time where I have to kiss my girls and head to work. I hate it (the going to work part obv).

The updates have been very minimal lately and for that I appologize. I can't seem to find the time or the content at the moment. I don't want this to turn into a photo blog, but some of my readers probably prefer it... LOL

Writing is not my strong point, but I wanted to create this space so that I could look back at it one day and have a good laugh. It's an easy way to document my thoughts and feelings on this whole "being a Dad" subject. So far, not so good but I hope to keep at it and hopefully have a few funny stories as time passes.

Little things are happening each day. For example, last week Lily had her first tooth pop up! It's a sharp little sucker that can't be too comfortable for her.

I'll try to post more frequently and also add pics as I get new ones.

Sleep training night #5

A complete success! They slept through the entire night without waking up!!

We were both shocked and excited this morning when we woke up and looked at the clock and it read 6:30am!

Woo hoo!!

Sleep training night #4

Sleep training is going very well. Not perfect of course, but its going much better than anticipated.

Night 4 is where the action gets going. No more 4am feedings, much more rigid in the in and out of the bedroom. Crying it out etc.

The wife is doing a fantastic job, I really can't stress that enough.

Sleep Training Day 0

It's the day before the big day. Sleep training will commence tomorrow morning when we wake them up on their new schedule. 7am start time with a 6oz bottle. More food! The goal here is to get them in bed by 8pm each night. Routine, routine, routine.

Last night Lily didn't even wake up so she is well on her way. Except when I went in to see her fussin' at about 7am she had done a slip and turn. She somehow slid out of her sleep sack and did a backspin 180 and was facing the other way towards the baby monitor.

They sure are developing their own little personalities. It's fun!

This sleep training is going to be a grind but if we are persistent and don't give in, we will win.

Sleep consultation

The long awaited sleep consultation is finally here. On Friday we will have a 2 hour phone consultation with Dawn. from cheekychops.ca
