Sleep training night #5

We were both shocked and excited this morning when we woke up and looked at the clock and it read 6:30am!

Sleep training night #4

Sleep training is going very well. Not perfect of course, but its going much better than anticipated.

Night 4 is where the action gets going. No more 4am feedings, much more rigid in the in and out of the bedroom. Crying it out etc.

The wife is doing a fantastic job, I really can't stress that enough.

Sleep Training Day 0

It's the day before the big day. Sleep training will commence tomorrow morning when we wake them up on their new schedule. 7am start time with a 6oz bottle. More food! The goal here is to get them in bed by 8pm each night. Routine, routine, routine.

Last night Lily didn't even wake up so she is well on her way. Except when I went in to see her fussin' at about 7am she had done a slip and turn. She somehow slid out of her sleep sack and did a backspin 180 and was facing the other way towards the baby monitor.

They sure are developing their own little personalities. It's fun!

This sleep training is going to be a grind but if we are persistent and don't give in, we will win.

Bad night

The wife and I were trying to think of a night recently that was worse than last night and we could not come up with anything within the last two months. We were up with the kids at 1am, 2am, 3am and I was up again at 4am. I got them back to sleep instead of the usual feed. I finally woke them up at 7am. I guess this is a good thing since they didn't need to be fed, but the lack of sleep and the little fights that the wife and I get in are straining. We have to constantly remind each other to think big picture and not get on each other about small things like dishes. We can't compare what each other do on a daily basis because our roles are so drastically different. Her job is so much harder than mine and I really am so proud of how well she is doing with everything so far.
